    excellent post.
    i particularly liked the bit about ‘jealousy’ versus ‘envy’ – using them synonymously is a little bugbear of mine.
    anecdotally, i had it explained to me in the mists of antiquity that ‘envy’, inter alia, is ‘to want something that someone else has’, while ‘jealousy’ is ‘wanting not to share what you have’ (which is why God describes Himself as ‘jealous’ rather than ‘envious’.)
