Read something old and and meaningful and  inspiring:<\/span><\/p>\n

A PSALM OF LIFE <\/span><\/p>\n

Tell me not in mournful numbers,<\/span>
Life is but an empty dream!<\/span>
For the soul is dead that slumbers,<\/span>
And things are not what they seem.<\/span><\/p>\n

Life is real! Life is earnest!<\/span>
And the grave is not its goal;<\/span>
Dust thou are, to dust thou returnest,<\/span>
Was not spoken of the soul.<\/span><\/p>\n

Not enjoyment, and not sorrow,<\/span>
Is our destined end or way;<\/span>
But to act, that each tomorrow<\/span>
Find us farther than today.<\/span><\/p>\n

Art is long, and Time is fleeting,<\/span>
And our hearts, though stout and brave,<\/span>
Still, like muffled drums, are beating<\/span>
Funeral marches to the grave.<\/span><\/p>\n

In the world's broad field of battle,<\/span>
In the bivouac of Life,<\/span>
Be not like dumb, driven cattle!<\/span>
Be a hero in the strife!<\/span><\/p>\n

Trust no Future, howe'er pleasant!<\/span>
Let the dead Past bury its dead!<\/span>
Act, – act in the living Present!<\/span>
Heart within, and God o'erhead!<\/span><\/p>\n

Lives of great men all remind us<\/span>
We can make our lives sublime,<\/span>
And, departing, leave behind us<\/span>
Footprints on the sand of time;<\/span><\/p>\n

Footprints, that perhaps another,<\/span>
Sailing o'er life's solenm main,<\/span>
A forlorn and shipwrecked brother,<\/span>
Seeing, shall take heart again.<\/span><\/p>\n

Let us then be up and doing, <\/span>
With a heart for any fate; <\/span>
Still achieving, still pursuing, <\/span>
Learn to labor and to wait. \t\t\t\t\t\t<\/span><\/p>\n
