Critics complained about the clunky portrayal of New York intellectuals and the hagiographic depiction of Arendt, but those faults and others escaped me immersed as I was in the ideas.&#0160; The movie is about Arendt&#39;s coverage for <em>The New Yorker<\/em> of the Adolf Eichmann trial in Jerusalem and the bitter controversy that erupted among the magazine&#39;s readership upon the publication of an article series&#0160;by Arendt on the trial.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia,palatino;\">The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tikkun.org\/nextgen\/film-review-hannah-arendt-and-the-banality-of-evil\" target=\"_self\">Tikkun review<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theparisreview.org\/blog\/2013\/05\/30\/lonely-thinking-hannah-arendt-on-film\/\" target=\"_self\">the one<\/a> in <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theparisreview.org\/blog\/2013\/05\/30\/lonely-thinking-hannah-arendt-on-film\/\" target=\"_self\">The Paris Review<\/a>&#0160;are very well done.&#0160;
