\n\"Big<\/a>A tip of the beret to Monterey Tom, fellow Kerouac aficionado, Octoberite, native Californian, and fellow lonesome traveller along Highway One for alerting me to the arrival of Big Sur<\/em>, the movie<\/a>, based on the eponymous novel by Jack Kerouac.  Appropriately enough, it is scheduled to open here in the Valle del Sol<\/em> on November 1st, All Saints' Day on the Catholic calendar.  If you live hereabouts it will debut locally at the Harkins Shea 14 in Scottsdale.  I think I'll catch the 11:00 AM performance, then have  lunch at an authentic Jewish delicatessen Peter L.  introduced me to:  Goldman's Deli<\/a> near the corner of N. Hayden and E. Indian Bend.<\/span><\/p>\n
