This life is a via dolorosa<\/em> through a vale of ambiguity. We trudge along veiled in ignorance of the ultimate whence, whither, and wherefore. But the way is not wholly dolorous and unmarked. There are some stunning vistas, exalted moments, intimations of Elsewhere, glimpses and vouchsafings, cloud-partings, fog-liftings, pointers and prospects.  We live by faith and hope in this life and beyond it. In any case, we are taking it to the end of the line.<\/a><\/span><\/p>\n
