Trans-humanist and cryonic fantasies aside,&#0160; death cannot be evaded.&#0160; We remember the dead, then, for our own spiritual benefit.&#0160; <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 11pt;\">Where they are, we will be.&#0160; And soon enough.&#0160; But people think they have plenty of time. &#0160;They fool themselves. Don&#39;t put off until the eleventh hour your preparation for death.&#0160; You may die at 10:30.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 11pt;\">Another reason is because we owe the dead something: honor, remembrance, gratitude, care of their monuments, legacies and intentions.
