Leftists are like unto Muslims in this regard too. There is also the iconoclasm of the Left. Why not then destroy all the statues and monuments that honor the likes of Karl Marx, V. I. Lenin, Fidel Castro and all others who either laid the foundations for or carried out mass murder? &#0160;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 11pt;\">You understand, of course, that I am not advocating this. &#0160;For one thing, the erasure of history would make it rather more difficult to learn from it. For another thing, there would be no end to it. &#0160;Why not destroy the Colosseum in Rome? You know what went on there.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 11pt;\">Or how about St. Robert Bellarmine, S. J. ? &#0160;Should paintings and statues of him be destroyed? &#0160;He had a hand in the burning at the stake of the philosopher Giordano Bruno! According to <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Robert_Bellarmine\">Wikipedia<\/a>:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 11pt;\">Bellarmine was made rector of the&#0160;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Roman_College\" title=\"Roman College\">Roman College<\/a>&#0160;in 1592, examiner of&#0160;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bishop\" title=\"Bishop\">bishops<\/a>&#0160;in 1598, and cardinal in 1599. Immediately after his appointment as Cardinal, Pope Clement made him a&#0160;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Inquisition\" title=\"Inquisition\">Cardinal Inquisitor<\/a>, in which capacity he served as one of the judges at the trial of&#0160;<a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Giordano_Bruno\" title=\"Giordano Bruno\">Giordano Bruno<\/a>, and concurred in the decision which condemned Bruno to be&#0160;<a class=\"mw-redirect\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Burned_at_the_stake\" title=\"Burned at the stake\">burned at the stake<\/a>&#0160;as a&#0160;<a class=\"mw-redirect\" href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Heretic\" title=\"Heretic\">heretic<\/a>.<sup class=\"reference\" id=\"cite_ref-5\"><a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Robert_Bellarmine#cite_note-5\">[5]<\/a><\/sup><\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: georgia, palatino;\">Better known is the fact that Bellarmine is the man who hauled the great Galileo before the Inquisition.&#0160;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 11pt; font-family: georgia, palatino;\">Calling all philosophers and scientists!
