In compensation, I have a big fat file folder of tributes from strangers.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 11pt;\">I suspect this is not unusual. The people we know we take for granted. Is it not written that &quot;no prophet is welcome in his hometown&quot;?&#0160;<em>(Luke 4: 24: nemo propheta acceptus est in patria sua. Cf. John 1:46.)&#0160;<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 11pt;\">One could call it the injustice of propinquity.
