In the lyrics there are references to two hits from the same era, Chubby Checker's The Twist<\/a> (1960) and Lonnie Donegan's British skiffle number  Does Your Chewing Gum Lose its Flavor<\/a>?  On second thought, the reference is to Checker's Let's Twist Again Like We Did Last Summer <\/a>(1960).<\/span><\/p>\n
