{"id":2326,"date":"2021-11-25T04:33:05","date_gmt":"2021-11-25T04:33:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/maverickphilosopher.blog\/index.php\/2021\/11\/25\/happy-thanksgiving-4\/"},"modified":"2021-11-25T04:33:05","modified_gmt":"2021-11-25T04:33:05","slug":"happy-thanksgiving-4","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/maverickphilosopher.blog\/index.php\/2021\/11\/25\/happy-thanksgiving-4\/","title":{"rendered":"Happy Thanksgiving!"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 13pt;\">The last two horrible years make my <a href=\"https:\/\/maverickphilosopher.typepad.com\/maverick_philosopher\/2014\/11\/gratitude-a-thanksgiving-homily.html\">annual Thanksgiving homily<\/a>&#0160;ring somewhat hollow, especially the penultimate line:<\/span><\/p>\n<blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 13pt;\">And don&#39;t forget the country that allows you to live your own kind of life in your own kind of way and say and write whatever you think in peace and safety.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-family: georgia, palatino; font-size: 13pt;\">Still and all, we have much to be grateful for.&#0160; But we will have to redouble our efforts to preserve the objects of our gratitude, in particular, what remains of our liberty, and our &quot;sweet land of liberty.&quot;&#0160; Patriots are waking up to the depredations of &#39;Woke&#39; and there is reason to be hopeful.
