Here, on an old post that mentions the Superstition Mountains, I write simply to say that, having gotten an enormous amount out of your blog philosophically, existentially, and even spiritually circa 2007-2015, I was recently delighted, during my first trip to Arizona, to find myself unexpectedly in the shadows of the Superstitions, which I knew from your many posts back in the day had long been a principal outdoor haunt of yours. This was as my girlfriend and I stopped by the little touristy goldmining town hard by the mountain range, with the little train that slowly circles the town and affords a nice view of the surrounding area.<\/p>\n
After going in circles similarly with pure philosophy for many years, around 2015 I became persuaded of the centrality of race to all questions social and political (if not philosophical), and pursued that angle of thought to its utmost this long time since, finding in terms like racial genetics and subspecies and average IQ so many of the explanations I had once turned to abstract philosophizing for. Despite, I think, differing in the role we assign such terms as explanations of our situation as a species past and present, I see we still would favor many of the same policies along these lines, such as radical immigration restrictions and deportation regimes, policies I view as necessary, not for the solving of philosophical problems, but for providing the only context in which genuine philosophizing has occurred and can continue to occur (along with innumerable other goods individual and social). But all that is neither here nor there. Thank you from another reader who benefited immensely from your writing for a long time, and who, recently reminded by the foothills of the Superstitions, is happy to see you still at it.<\/p>\n

I applaud your courage in delving into matters of race since race does matter as does culture. As we speak, Europe is collapsing under its suicidal empathy (HT: Gad Saad) and utterly foolish immigration policies.\u00a0 Trump warned Macron, but the fool wouldn’t listen. And it is not just France and the U.K. that are collapsing. Spain, Belgium, Italy, Albania and other countries are experiencing the wages of their decadence, their failure of will to defend and preserve their superior civilization.<\/p>\n
Here in the States, a vicious internal enemy has emerged with the DSA takeover of a once respectable party.\u00a0 The midterms, right around the corner, will prove to be a watershed. Will our constitutional republic survive or not? We need a moratorium on Muslim immigration.\u00a0 The principles of Sharia Law are antithetical<\/em>\u00a0 to the classically<\/em> liberal principles and presupppositions of our founding documents.\u00a0 I’ve been pounding on these pressing themes on my Facebook page. There my style is combative and polemical as it must be; here my style is that of the Luftmensch<\/em>, the “spectator of all time and existence.”<\/p>\n You rightly speak of “the only context in which genuine philosophizing has occurred and can continue to occur.”\u00a0 It cannot occur under Communism or Islamism.\u00a0 It can only occur in the West. Increasingly\u00a0 it is only the USA under Donald J.
